We all experience joys and challenges in life, whether adoption is part of our journey or not. Adoption has changed significantly over the decades, yet many people may not know that. In 2025, we have more resources than ever to support and celebrate adoption journeys, yet much of this progress remains unseen in mainstream conversations.

 

That’s why I’m working on a book and broader media initiatives to bring modern, balanced adoption stories into the spotlight. My goal is to highlight real-life experiences that reflect adoption as it exists today, the complexities, the connections, and the tools that have helped people navigate their journey.

 

Why does this matter? With over 5 million adoptees in the U.S., adoption touches millions more, families, friends, and entire communities. It’s time to shift the conversation and be sure we are celebrating adoptions that have meant so much to so many, address concerns proactively, showcase resilience, and make space for open, honest, and modern adoption discussions.
